3:00 p.m. Check -In
3:30 p.m. Tech inspection and prejudging
4:00 p.m. Caboose parade and final judging from the stage
4:15 p.m. Caboose Races Begin
Caboose Specifications
All entries MUST meet the following specifications. Caboose will be inspected prior to the race. Caboose not meeting specifications will be disqualified at the time of inspection.
- Caboose specifications:
Size- minimum 2 feet wide by 5 feet long
Size- maximum 3 feet, 10 inches wide (46 inches), including handles, by 8 feet long
There is no minimum or maximum height specification for the caboose or handles.
- Each caboose must have 4 firmly attached wheels, attached in such a manner so that caboose will roll on all 4 wheels when propelled down the racecourse. Wheels are not to exceed 8 inches in diameter, including tires. Wheels must be within the dimensions of the caboose.
- Ropes used for pulling caboose will not be permitted. Four handles must be securely attached to caboose. A push bar on rear of the caboose instead of 2 handles will be permitted.
- Functional steering mechanisms and motors are prohibited.
- Decorative projections will be allowed, not to exceed the maximum width and length of the caboose. Decorations may extend up without limitations.
- All passengers MUST wear a helmet and eye protection during the race. Protective gear for runners is recommended but not required.
- The registration number MUST BE VISIBLE on the front and back of the caboose.
SAFETY IS IMPERATIVE!
Caboose race officials may disqualify any caboose if they feel it is dangerous.

Kids Parade- Children and families not racing may also participate in parade. Above specifications do not apply for non-racing participants. Kids Parade participants will line up in front of racers.
