Trojan Battalion Recieves Flag
Flag from Iraq Presented to FFCHS JROTC
LTC Lance Kohler presented an American flag on behalf of Major General Jeffery Hammond, 4th Infantry Division Commander to the FFCHS JROTC Trojan Battalion, which is lead by Senior Army Instructor LTC Thomas Oetjen and 1 SG Leroy Bogan, as an expression of support and future cooperation between the 4th Infantry Division and the Trojan Battalion.
The flag had flown over the Multi-National Division, Baghdad, (4th Infantry Division) Headquarters, during the Division’s recent rotation in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
The FFCHS JROTC program has been an Honor Unit with Distinction ever since its inception in 1995, when it was founded by 1 SG Bogan.
Kohler is a graduate of Muncy HS, Muncy PA, and the United States Military Academy.
The 4th Infantry Division, currently stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, is moving to Fort Carson this summer. Three brigades of the 4th Infantry Division are currently stationed at Fort Carson, and a number of those Soldiers have children that attend FFCHS and participate in the AJROTC program.
